Why You Will Never Regret Practising Kindness

Did you know that by regularly practising Random Acts of Kindness you’ll find that you not only improve your relationships but you’ll slow down the ageing process and boost your health. It goes without saying that you’ll increase your happiness and that of others too. Random Acts of Kindness affect the user and the experiencer, leaving a lasting impression on both.

When you express your approval or gratitude for something someone has done, you not only enhance their lives, but you enrich yours as well. By routinely appreciating and complimenting the contribution of others, you’ll feel more fulfilled because you have done something to make someone else’s life better. Furthermore, one of the laws of the universe states that what you give, you get in return, so you will most likely find yourself on the receiving end of a bit of heart-felt appreciation, boosting your own self-confidence, self-esteem and self-image in turn.

The week of February 11 – 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Week, making it the best time to do something kind for others.

Stuck for ideas? Well, Random Acts of Kindness can range from a host of little things including…

  • Complimenting the first three people you talk to
  • Running an errand for a family member who is busy
  • Putting your phone away while in the company of others – small things can cause big positive changes don’t you know!

…to Random Acts of Kindness that involve more of your time and commitment:

  • Calling in at your local hospital to see if there is something you can do with some of their sick patients
  • Getting involved with a local community organisation or project working to bring neighbourhoods closer together.

Whatever you choose to do, at least do something kind this week because one good deed creates a domino effect that will improve not only your day but that of dozens of people.

Let me know how you get on…
